Beth started her career with us at the Holiday Inn Express in North Platte. Here is Beth’s story:
I started in laundry as a mom needing that perfect schedule for my family. When the hotel experienced a devastating fire, my coworkers and I adapted to hauling laundry over to a sister hotel for over a year.
We had a lot of pride in accomplishing something in unpredictable circumstances. I was pleased when our company asked me to step up as Laundry Supervisor. I was ready to lead the team.
In less than a year, our GM approached me. I remember the day. November 20th, 2018. Out of the blue, she thought I needed to consider being the Front Desk Manager with zero Front Desk experience. I recall her saying “I just think you have way more potential,” and she cited my positive attitude and hard work. Leading the front desk, I eventually managed a co-op team for two of our hotels. My goal was to learn along side my team and lead by example.
I was awarded a promotion to General Manager of the Best Western Plus in March of 2021. I’m super excited about being able to be real with the entire team to create a fast paced, quality experience for our customers. I love the new in every day and the family that I get to work with every day.
